This unit we believe, is probably the most versatile training MCDU available.
We have utilized the most up to date technology to bring this combined mcdu/fmc/fmgc unit to the flight simulation industry.
The keypad unit has a very durable tactile membrane keypad and is fully lit and dimmable.
Contained within its case is an industrial computer capable of running DOS, W95/98 and NT.
The integrated computer has two solid state hard drives and its own standard 5GB hard drive.
Also provided is an onboard LAN card for network installations.
The computer has 6 programmable I/O ports of which one can be configured to receive standard GPS data.
A remote Cdrom drive is provided for data loading and the power pack is also a remote unit.
It is capable of running a standard VGA screen and has all necessary connections from the rear to operate as a normal computer. i.e mouse, printer port, external keyboard etc.
This enables our version of an MCDU to be run either as a stand-alone desk top unit, linked to existing CBT software and hardware, or installed and run to replicate an aircraft installed unit.
The Integrated computer can be utilized as an FMS/FMGC computer.
Any of our keypads can be fitted to this unit.
